Anna’s Animal House

The Quakers (Myopsitta Monachus Monachus):

We have three Quakers, Oliver, Axel, and Gumby. Oliver came to live with us in August of 1995. He was just over a year old then. Axel came to our home in December 1997 when she was about six or seven. Then in 2002 we adopted Gumby when he was two years old.

To hear wmas and mp3s of Oliver and Gumby talk see the bottom of this page.

Here are the three Quakers eating spaghetti on their play stand. Axel is on the left, Oliver is in the middle and Gumby is on the far right. (Jan. 2004)

Oliver and Axel are cuddling on their boing. In most pictures they are either glued together or near each other. (Jan. 2004)

This is Gumby playing in his cage. He has created an intricate structure using the coloured rings you see beside him, which he sleeps under. (Nov. 2003)

This is a photo of our Quakers with a visiting buddy of theirs, Fiji. From the left are Gumby, Oliver, Axel and Fiji. (Dec. 2003)

Here’s Mojo loving himself in one of his many mirrors. He talks well and says most of the things the Quakers say.

Here is one of Mojo playing near his swing (March 2004)

The Cats

We also live with three cats, Rollo, 16 years old, Pangaea, 14, and Elmo 13.

Elmo used to love to play in a nearly full bath. He doesn’t do it anymore. I guess he’s matured.

Here are the girls, Pangaea on the left and Rollo. This picture was taken a few years ago.

Pangaea was about a year old when this was taken. That umbrella died soon afterwards.

This is Elmo when he was about five years old.

This is a portrait of Rollo that John took when she was about 4 years old. (C 1992)
