Of course, by making this page we are not asking you to stop writing to us, since we do love receiving e-mails of any kind. However, we believe this might be useful for people who are looking simply for bits of information and are not sure where to start looking.
We hope this addition will be helpful. If you still have not found what you are looking for, we have moved our links section to the bottom of this page, so you can always browse other pages specializing in various topics in the U.N.C.L.E. universe. Naturally, you are still very welcomed to e-mail us your questions as it will be our pleasure to provide you with an answer, bearing that we do have one, or an alternate way to find it if we don't.
You can read the meaning of the acronym inserted within the end credits of each episode. It reads: "We wish to thank the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement, without whose assistance this program would not be possible."
Though we were not fortunate enough to have seen all of The Man From U.N.C.L.E. episodes, we have seen a great number of them and never was it mentioned in those whether or not the name was an acronym. Some references we have come across suggest that words were indeed considered to construct a phrase, but they were rejected and the letters did not stand for anything other than the name of the organisation.
Fortunately for us who have never been able to get our hands on any MFU novels, a kind soul has sent us the meaning that came out in the paperbacks. She writes: "Though the name of Thrush was never revealed in any episode of The Man From UNCLE, the long-winded name of Technological Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity was written in the paperback novel, The Dagger Affair, by David McDaniel, and has been used quite a lot since in other novels and fan fiction."
Thank you Sarah for your help in keeping this FAQ's page as accurate and complete as possible.
MGM/UA made 22 videos of approximately 104 minutes (2 episodes) in NTSC format. Several on-line video stores have them in stock, simply log on to your favourite to buy them on-line. You can also get them from any self-respecting video stores who are willing to handle special orders.
We have discovered that 6 videos have been made in PAL format, and we guess that they would be available through European channels.
For other episodes, if you are lucky enough (or have a very good friend who lives in the United States and who's lucky enough) to live in an area deserved by TNT, you may get a chance to see the episodes in no particular order and time-compressed. Click on the TNT link for their schedule.
It seems that if you live in Australia and get FOXTEL CABLE NETWORK -- Nickelodeon Channel (Channel 4), you are able to catch The Man From U.N.C.L.E. every Monday at 10:30 PM. (We have not been able to confirm this information, so it is possible that it is outdated.)
You can get a fairly good filmography for these actors on a web site called "Internet Movie Database." The links below take you to their respective pages.
There have been many rumours concerning that possibility; however, we have not been able to find any reliable source that can confirm or deny this fact and be one hundred percent sure. Therefore, as far as we can tell you, that's just what they are--rumours and talks.
Personally, if a movie should come out and cast new actors in the roles of Illya Kuryakin and Napoleon Solo, we would probably prefer that The Powers That Be forget the idea of reviving the series . . . but, that's only our opinion. J
That is, without a doubt, the most frequent question we get. The fact that the teaser is still there speaks for itself; at the very least, we have every intention of posting it someday. Unfortunately, neither of us can give you a specific date for that occurrence. It has taken Chantal longer than she ever expected to finish the story. All we ask is that you be patient and come back every once in a while to read the updates.

Disclaimer: The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Illya Kuryakin, Napoleon Solo, Alexander Waverly, and their colleagues at U.N.C.L.E. headquarters don't belong to us (sigh). We only borrow them for a while with every intention of giving them back as good as new (almost). They were born out of Norman Felton's genius mind and Sam Rolfe's exceptional creativity where they were copyrighted by MGM inc./United Artists and Arena Productions ©1964.
